The Cook Area Credit Union provides safe, high quality financial services to meet the needs of our communities and member/owners; enhancing their financial education and well-being, while maintaining the strength of the credit union.

The Cook Area Credit Union opened in 1939 as Northern Farmer Co-op Credit Union. It was sponsored by the Northern Farmers Co-op Society. The Credit Union was based out of the Co-op Store until October 1994 when the building burned down. The fire was caused by a ballast of fluorescent lights. The 5 employees of the Credit Union made a quick recovery and were open for business 3 days later in the BIC building. The Credit Union also changed sponsorship after the fire. Their new sponsor was Lake Country Power. The Credit Union operated out of the BIC building for just over a year. In January 1996 the Credit Union moved to into their new building, our current structure. The Cook Credit Union has now expanded our building to accommodate our growing membership and staff.

The Cook Area Credit Union currently has 10 full time employees and 1 part time employee.

	Jolene joined the staff in 2008
Stephanie Burckhardt Mortgage Loan Officer (Available Tuesdays and Thursdays)
	Stephanie has been the with Credit Union since 2008
Becky Leinonen Loan Officer
	Becky started with the Credit Union in 2009
Tiffany Bergemann MSR (Full-Time)
	Tiffany began working at the Credit Union in 2011
Michelle Ehnriter MSR (Full-Time)	Michelle joined our staff in 2011.
